Oranna "Ann" Winkler Obituary

Oranna "Ann" Jean Winkler, age 58, of Cicero, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at her residence.

She was born in Dover on March 12, 1965, to the late William and Gloria (Martin) Bailey.

On December 18, 1987, she married Ray A. Winkler and shared 25 years of marriage before his passing in August 2011.

Ann retired in 1997 as a Registered Nurse from the US Navy. Her biggest joy in life came from being a mom to Ray and Barbara.  She was a big football mom well known for always filming sporting events for her kids.  With Ray Jr. playing football at Ball State, Ann and Ray loved to travel and watch him while he excelled at what he loved.  When she and Ray were not traveling to watch Ray Jr., they liked to fish, travel, and spend time on the boat.  Ann also enjoyed taking time to practice art, she loved to sketch.  She was also very active in the community and enjoyed helping people any time she could.  Those who knew Ann also knew her love for the Holidays and the extent she would go to decorate or participate in the current holiday at that time of year.  Her true joy came when she was able to spend time with her grandson, Ann loved spending time with her family.

Ann is survived by her Son, Ray A. (Jessica) Winkler, Jr. of Plainfield, IL, Stepdaughter, Barbara Winkler of Glencoe, IL, & Grandson, Ray R. Winkler.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, William & Gloria Jean Bailey, and her Husband, Ray A. Winkler, Sr.
