Betty Loraine Walker

Betty Loraine Walker, age 83, of Arcadia, IN, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018 at Carmel Health and Living in Carmel, IN.

She was born March 2, 1935 at North Vernon, IN to Paul Lewis and Zella Lucille (Lacey) Cady.

She attended Walnut Grove High School and enjoyed keeping up with the lives and whereabouts of her classmates.

She married George Gilbert Walker on September 23, 1952.  She enjoyed her role as a homemaker and loved having family gatherings.  She liked to play euchre and taught her family the nuances of the game.  Her parents always had a beautiful, productive garden and she continued that tradition.  And her family attested she became a wonderful cook as a result.  She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.  And she was an avid Elvis Presley fan.

She is survived by her husband: George Gilbert Walker of Arcadia, twin sons: Ron (Karen) Walker of Atlanta, IN and Don (Debbie) Walker of Lebanon, IN, a brother: Randy (Diana) Cady of Noblesville, IN and a sister Debbie (Harry) Stone of Elwood, IN, grandchildren: Lindsay Walker, Heather Gay, Heidi Culley, Tricia Walker, Todd Walker, Randy Walker, and Kathy Piercy.  Also great-grandchildren surviving are Claire, Penny, Zach, Jake, Sarah, Ian, Emma, Ava, Isaac, and Bella.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother: Buster Cady and a sister: Linda Strunk.

Funeral services will be held at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at 2:30 P.M. with visitation from 12:30 until time of the services.  Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.  You may send condolences at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
