Brenda Kay York

Brenda Kay York, age 65, of Arcadia, IN passed away May 24, 2019 at her home with her family by her side.  She was born October 5, 1953 at Carrs, KY to John Dudley and Velma Lee (Bennett) Monroe.

She was employed for many years at IMMI at Westfield, IN as a seamstress working on safety restraints.  She also worked with flowers making beautiful arrangements with silks and fresh flowers.  She enjoyed being outdoors and that resulted in many camping events for her and her family.  Brenda loved her family and greatly enjoyed their get-togethers.

She married Bobby Joe York on October 15, 1993.  He survives her.  Also surviving are sons: Kevin E. Ferguson of Arcadia, IN and Thomas York of Indianapolis, IN, brothers: John "Buddy" Monroe of Lebanon, IN, Tommy Hampton of Kempton, IN and Jeff Hampton of Noblesville, IN, Sisters Karen Covert of Apopka, FL and Linda Nickerson of Arcadia, IN, grandchildren: Kyndall Ferguson and Addyson Ferguson plus several nieces and nephews..

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers: Eddie and Glenn Hampton, and mother-in-law: Retha York.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 10.00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Steve Wallen officiating.  Burial will follow at Arcadia Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
