Dorothy Adelyn Adams, 97, wife of the late of Ralph Eugene Adams, passed away May 26, 2019.
Born in Allegheny County, PA, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy Margaret Arnold Goschke. While at Michigan State University she was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. Dorothy was employed by the Red Cross at the end of WWII and by the U.S. Air Force Social Services following the War.
Dorothy and Ralph owned Range Line Road Antiques in Arcadia in the 1960’s, then moved to Broad Ripple, Indiana to raise their daughter.
Dorothy worked at the ELCA Lutheran Synod and was very involved in the different churches she attended.
Dorothy loved to read and was very active at Rolling Green Village, in Greenville, SC where she moved to be closer to her daughter.
She is survived by a daughter, Leslie Dale (Steve); sister, Helen “Gussie” Sullivan (Neal); nieces, Carol Cassel, Marcia Cassel Ford, Sue Cassel Stanley, Amy Sullivan, and Shelley Sullivan; and nephews, Jay Sullivan, and Denny Sullivan.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Peg Cassel (Chuck).
Graveside services will be held Friday, June 7, 2019 at 2:30 P.M. at the Cicero Cemetery, Cicero, IN with a local gathering to follow for family and close friends. In lieu of flowers, our family encourages you to spend more with family and friends, especially those living alone or in a healthcare facility.
