Evelyn Jaynell Boyer

Evelyn Jaynell Boyer, age 91, of Cicero, IN passed away peacefully after a brief illness on June 7, 2019 at Riverview Health at Noblesville, IN. 

She was born October 22, 1927 at Noblesville, IN to Freddie Lee and Martha Pearl (Lowe) Widows.  She attended Cicero Elementary School and subsequently graduated from Cicero High School.

She married Richard William Boyer on October 31, 1953 and together they raised their families in Cicero, IN.  Their living children include Tamra (Jack) O'Tain, Peggy (Bill) Hebner, Sally McFall and Bill Boyer.  Additional survivors include grandchildren: Blake and Nina O'Tain, Michael Barker, Kent and Scott McFall, sisters: Bonnie Stinnett and Wanda Freeman, plus several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. 

Her husband passed away March 7, 2003.  In addition to her husband and her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Lynn Boyer, , a grandchild: Rob Barker, and the following siblings: Bud Widows, Maxine Dick, and Mary Griffin.

In addition to being a homemaker, she also ran an in-home daycare for children for many years.

Evelyn was a member of the Omega Christian Church, Cicero Christian Church where she participated in Soup, Salad and Scripture and the Cicero Extension Homemakers Club.  

She enjoyed reading, going to garage sales, traveling and camping.  Most important to her was her faith in God and the time spent with family and friends. Holidays were especially treasured days. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel with Elder John Knapp officiating.
