Frankie A. Drake

Frankie A. Drake, age 94, of Westfield, IN and formerly of Cicero, IN passed away November 28, 2019 at Sanders Glenn Assisted Living in Westfield.

She was born August 1, 1925 at Noblesville, IN to Max M. and Marjorie L. (Ackles) Wilson.  She attended Cicero Elementary School and was a graduate of Jackson Central High School.  In addition to being a homemaker she also returned to the schools she attended as a cook, a position she held for over thirty years. 

Frankie was a long-time member of Cicero Christian Church.  She enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking and visiting with friends.  She dearly loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings.

She married Keith G. Drake on August 31, 1942.  He preceded her in death July 3, 1974.  In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents, a son: Lt. Col. Michael Drake, a daughter: Priscilla Grinstead, a grandchild: Jason Grinstead and four siblings.

Surviving her is a daughter: Denise (Luckie) Carey of Westfield, IN, sons: Douglas (Charlene) Drake of Cicero, IN and Timothy (Kathy-Kelly) Drake of Indianapolis, IN, a sister: Joyce Burwell of Norman, OK, daughter-in-law: Glenda Drake of Cicero, IN and a son-in-law: Tom Grinstead of Cicero, IN plus seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 2, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Kim Drake officiating.  Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of the services.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
