Harold Gene Morgan

Harold Gene Morgan, age 84, of Arcadia, IN passed away February 25, 2019 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital at Tipton, IN.

He was born February 25, 1935 at Barber, Arkansas to Lesley and Dove (Hall) Morgan and attended schools in that area.

His family said he had always been a hard worker even as a young child when he had to go to work to help support the family.  His first job as an adult was working on the railroad.  He later became an owner in Elastaseal, a concrete company located in Arcadia, IN.  His specialty was concrete finishing.

He greatly enjoyed interacting with his family.  He also liked to hunt, fish, and talk to others on his CB Radio where he was known as the Arkansas Traveler.

He was a member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church.  

He is survived by a daughter: Carla Renee' (Harley Morgan) Blackledge of Arcadia, IN, two sons: Harold Kent (Andrea) Morgan of Noblesville, IN and Kevin (Denise) Morgan of Arcadia, IN, brothers: M.C. Morgan of Clairmore, OK, Austin Morgan of Noblesville, IN and Joepat Morgan of Little Rock, AR, former wife: Marieta Morgan Macy of Arcadia, IN, plus grandchildren: Jessica Peachey, Jeremy Jack Morgan, Olivia Morgan, and Austin Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson: Alexander Kennedy Morgan.

Graveside rites will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at Cicero Cemetery.  There will be a Celebration of Life following at Red Bridge Park Community Building at Cicero, IN.  Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034, where you may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuenralhomes.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hartley Funeral Homes to assist the family.
