Helen Delores Koenig

Helen Delores Koenig, age 86, of Kokomo, IN and formerly of Tipton, IN passed away January 5, 2020 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born December 1, 1933 at Cincinnati, Ohio to Peter James and Helen (Keehan) Costa.  She was a graduate of Seton High School at Cincinnati, Ohio.
Mrs. Koenig was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Cicero, IN.

She married Lawrence Jacob Koenig August 7, 1954.  He preceded her in death January 1, 2010.  In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Victor Costa, sisters: Margaret Ann Costa, Rose Delaney and Esther Gergen.  

Surviving her is a son: Lawrence Jay (Nancy) Koenig of Rochester, Michigan, daughters: Laura Ann (Michael) Sample of Kokomo, IN, Denise Marie (Jerry) Judge of Allentown, PA, and Ann Marie (David) Cavanagh of Westfield, IN, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be conducted Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 South Pearl Street, Cicero, IN 46034.  Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of the services, also at the Church.  Burial will take place at Cicero Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Church.  Hartley Funeral Homes, Cicero, IN is privileged to provide the services for Mrs. Koenig and where you may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
