Joseph Lewis Meszaros

On Tuesday, March 13, 2018, the Knights of Columbus lost a fellow brother, Joseph Lewis Meszaros.

He was a devout Catholic, worshiping at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Cicero, IN. He was also a devoted husband to Henrietta (Hanzevacky) Meszaros and a loving father to Julie (Jeff) Hanson, Stefanie (Erik) Oxborrow and Joey (Madison) Meszaros. He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren: Noah and Madeleine Hanson and Kaitlyn and Karson Oxborrow, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Leisure time often found Joseph sitting on his back porch enjoying nature and his favorite cigar.

Joseph was born January 20, 1951 at Passau, Germany to Joseph and Ilona (Nagy) Meszaros. His parents and a sister, Ilona Meszaros Szahlender preceded him in death.

Joseph graduated from Fairview Park High School (Ohio) with the Class of 1969. He then earned an engineering degree from Cleveland State School of Engineering. He had been employed as a civil engineer for Union Carbide, TRW, INC, and Dana Corporation.

A visitation will be from 9:45 A.M.to 10:45 A.M. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 South Pearl Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with memorial services following at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be at 1:30 at Cicero Cemetery also on Saturday.
