Marguerite Christine Goodnight

Marguerite Christine Goodnight, age 91, of Arcadia, IN passed away November 9, 2019 at I.U. Tipton Hospital at Tipton, IN.

She was born January 13, 1928 at Waco, Texas to Joseph and Claudia (Simonton) Dempsey.

She married Richard Riley Goodnight on September 19, 1943.  He preceded her in death December 4, 1999.  In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents.

She had worked for several years at the Stokley Van Camp Corporate Office as manager of materials and supplies.  She later worked at Quaker Oats Company and lastly she worked as the secretary-treasurer for Walnut Grove School.

Marguerite attended the Arcadia Church of the Brethren and White River Christian Church at Noblesville, IN. She was a member and past worthy matron of the Cicero Order of Eastern Star, Hamilton County Senior Citizens Organization, and the American Business Women's Association.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens near Indianapolis, IN.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com;
