Ronald Steven Obsitnick

Ronald Steven Obsitnick, age 76, of Tipton, IN passed away March 8, 2019 at I.U. Tipton Hospital.  He was born July 27, 1942 at Kane, Pennsylvania to William Jordan and Mary Margaret (Obsitnick) Glover.

He was a graduate of St. Bernard High School at Bradford, PA and studied for two years at St. Bonaventure University Olean, NY.

He then worked in financial management for the following companies: Beneficial Finance Company, Long John Silver Restaurants, and NRG Auto Systems.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Tipton Moose Lodge.  He enjoyed all sporting events and watching western movies.  He loved interacting with his family and friends and at several Christmas gatherings played the role of Santa Clause for them.

He married Mary Louise (Gustafson) Obsitnick on February 8, 1964.  She preceded him in death November 8, 2006.  In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents, a son: Ronald S. Obsitnick, Jr., and a great-grandchild: Lylianna Duckworth.

Surviving him is a son: Sean Obsitnick of Cicero IN, daughters:Dawn Bodle of Bloomington, IN, Ronette Davis of North Dakota, Michelle Eurick of Elwood, IN and Renee' Knight of Cicero, IN, 14 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and long time friends: Clyde and Rose Perry of Tipton, IN.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with visitation prior to the services from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M.  Burial will occur at the Arcadia Cemetery at a later date.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association, 115 West Washington Street, Suite 1180-South, Indianapolis, IN 46204.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
