Rosanna Glee Dunn

Rosanna Glee Dunn, age 95, of Noblesville, IN passed away January 9, 2019 at Community North Hospital at Indianapolis, IN.

She was born June 2, 1923 near Terhune, Indiana to Milford Michael and Ethel Jane (Shapley) Stowers.

She was a graduate of Sugar Creek High School located at Pickard, IN, with the Class of 1941.  Her younger years were spent on the family farm working with her father on the farm.  They had farm animals and also raised row crops and tomatoes.  Rosanna related farming with horses instead of tractors and walking the tomato fields with hampers as she helped harvest the crop by hand.  The crop was then sold to grocery stores for customers to purchase. 

Always busy, always industrious, she first worked for twelve years at  L.S. Ayres Department Store in Indianapolis, then worked for over twenty years as a teller at American State Bank at Sheridan, IN, and lastly she began working sixteen years ago at the Clothes Closet at Noblesville, IN where she was still working. 

About ten years ago she started taking organ lessons and soon became adept at playing for others, including performing at concerts.  She  was a very social person and enjoyed going to music concerts, eating out, and just being with friends.

Her farm background resulted in her having large gardens in her adult life.  She would preserve the garden produce by canning and freezing.
Rosanna was an active member of Legacy Church at Noblesville, IN

She married Robert Leslie Dunn on February 22, 1945.  He preceded her in death September 10, 2001.  In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters: Crystal Irick and Doris Carney. 

Surviving her is a daughter: Barbara (David) Glunt of Sheridan, IN, a son: Ronald (Joan) Dunn of Carmel, IN and a brother: Julian Stowers of Fishers, IN, six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN, 46034, with visitation from 9:00 A.M. until time of the services.  Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery near Sheridan, IN.  Memorial contributions may be made to U.B.
