Samuel K. Ottinger

Samuel K. Ottinger, age 74, of Cicero, IN passed away March 23, 2018 at Riverview Health at Noblesville, IN.

He was born September 12, 1943 at Lebanon, IN to Oscar and Madge (King) Ottinger.

He was a graduate of Sheridan High School with the Class of 1961, then served his country in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967.

He had worked for several years at U.S. Foods at Fishers, IN.

Leisure time found Mr. Ottinger putting together puzzles and following I.U. Basketball. He also enjoyed collecting novelty items, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren compete in sports.

He married Carol Yvonne (Dotson) Ottinger on June 9, 1968. She survives him. Additional survivors include a son: Mark (Erica) Ottinger of Westfield, IN, a daughter: Teresa (Ed) Roberts of Atlanta, IN, plus four grandchilldren: Cody Roberts, Ashley Roberts, Morgan Ottinger and Emerson Jones.

In addition to is parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Jannis Wright.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Chuck Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Crown View Cemetery at Sheridan, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
