Thomas William Miller

Thomas William Miller, age 78, of Cicero, IN passed away May 28, 2018 at Community North Hospital at Indianapolis, IN.

He was born November 11, 1939 at Alpena, Michigan to Thomas Wellington and Marion Ruth (Krueger) Miller.

He was a graduate of Alpena High School and earned an Associates Degree in engineering. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 13 years, retiring with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He continued to serve in the U.S. Naval Reserves for another 9 years. He then worked as an engineer for GTE.

Mr. Miller was a member of the American Legion and the VFW. He enjoyed golfing, gardening and just being outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and his family related his love for them and his love for the Lord. He was a man of faith that was relayed in the life he lived.

He married Denise Mary (Ellixson) Miller on May 14, 1971. She survives him. Also surviving are the following children: John Miller and William Miller both of New Haven, IN, Patrick Miller of California and Sean Miller of Cadiz, KY, Susan Roe of California, Jamie Lineberry of New Haven, IN, Wanlyn Berich of New Castle, IN, Christina White of Jacksonville, FL, Nicole Dixon of Ft. Wayne, IN and Alison Dunder of Cicero, IN, several grandchildren, and two brothers; Richard Miller and John Miller.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister: Linda Waite and a daughter: Lori Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 1, 2018 at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Vic VanSchaik officiating. Burial will follow at the Cicero Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans), P.O.
