William Morris Obituary

William Ray Morris, age 39, of Elwood, IN died May 11, 2018 due to an auto accident near Arcadia, IN.

He was born September 28, 1978 at Houston, Texas to Robert and Kelley (Dixon) Buffington.

He was a graduate of Humble High School at Humble, TX with the Class of 1998. He then joined the U.S. Army and served his country honorably for eight years, including two tours of duty in Iraq. He then worked as a corrections officer for Eastham Penitentiary at Lovelady, TX. After relocating to Indiana he worked for a time at Terry Lee Honda and was currently employed at Hare Chevrolet.

He married Jennifer Lynn (Fennell) Morris who survives him. She describes her husband as a Godly man, and loving husband and father who was all about his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and just being outdoors taking in the wonders of nature.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his parents Robert and Kelley Buffington of Humble, Texas, sons: Ethan Miessen of Elwood, IN, Andrew Miessen of Elwood, IN, a daughter: Hannah O'Hara of Terre Haute, IN, father-in-law: Danny Fennell and his wife Linda of Scottsburg, IN, and mother-in-law: Bonnie O'Hara and her husband Peter of Cicero, IN.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 17, 2018 at 4:00 P.M. at Life Church, 800 22nd Street, Elwood, IN 46036 with Pastor Scott Baylock officiating. A time of visitation will be held after the services. Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes, P.O.
