Barbara Phenis Obituary

Barbara Jean Phenis, age 84, of Noblesville, IN passed away April 30, 2021 at Maple Park Village in Westfield, IN.

She was born March 24, 1937 at  Richmond, IN to Clement Conrad and Dorothy Elizabeth (Bullerdick) Zwissler.

She had worked over thirty years at Industrial Dialectics Incorporated at Noblesville as a customer service representative for the company.  Her office was a favorite place for others to stop by during their break times as she was always a friendly and uplifting person.  She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and had participated in the Church quilting group.

Barbara enjoyed reading, playing euchre with family and friends, and playing poker on the computer and on an occasional trip to the Anderson Casino.  She looked forward to family gatherings, especially their Sunday dinners.  She loved to bake and her family said she would always furnish the most tasty desserts.

Surviving her is a daughter: Rhonda Sue Vanable of Noblesville, IN, sisters: Sue Kritzer of Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Mary Trifiro of Boston, MA, grandchildren: Lynn and Kari, and a great-granddaughter and "apple of Barbara's eye": Ophelia.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers: James, Joseph and David Zwissler.
