Billy E. Beechler, 88, of Cicero, IN, peacefully passed away on December 15, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on May 2, 1934, to Walter and Inez in Marion county. After Bill graduated from Jackson Central in 1953, he began a lifetime of farming in Cicero. He was also a custodian for Hamilton Heights for several years.
In 1966, Bill met Iris Bussear on a blind date. They were married in 1967 and went on to have 3 children, who blessed him with 5 granddaughters. When the kids were young, he competed in the tractor pulls at the Hamilton County 4-H Fair.
Bill loved his family, tractors, and a good practical joke. His favorite spot was sitting in his chair worrying about the weather and watching the traffic pass by on 236th street.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Inita Beechler. He is survived by his loving wife, Iris, his children Dr. Bill Beechler (Dr. Holly Simpson), Jeff Beechler (Emily), and Catherine Cardwell (Tom). He is also survived by his granddaughters Anne, Julia, Rose, Hannah, and Bekah. Services will be held at Victory Chapel Community Church on December 23rd @ 10:00am. Visitation will be at Hartley Funeral Home in Cicero, IN on December 22, 2022 from 4-6:00pm.
