Billy Lewis

Billy Lewis, age 90, of Cicero, IN and formerly of Atlanta and Tipton, IN, passed away July 2, 2018 at his home.

He was born March 11, 1928 at Atlanta, IN to Charles Denzel and Edith Naomi (Dunn) Lewis. 

He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1947.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  After being honorably discharged from the Navy he began working at Delco Remy at Anderson, IN where he was employed for almost 42 years.

Billy was a member of Atlanta Christian Church, the Tipton and Cicero American Legions, and was a life member of the Tipton Elks Club, the Tipton Moose Lodge and the Tipton Masonic Lodge.

He married Barbara Helen (Redmon) Lewis on February 9, 1952.  She preceded him in death June 12, 2013.  In addition to his wife and parents he was also preceded in death by a brother: Richard Lewis and a half brother: Charles Lewis. 

Surviving him are daughters; Colleen (Gene) Starrett of Cicero, IN, Pamela Ann (David) Vanette of Cicero, IN and Teresa Elaine (Bob) Dillard of Spring, TX, brother: Keith E. Lewis of Centerville, GA, sister: Linda Lou Samuels of Atlanta, IN, grandchildren: Chad and Andy Starrett, Amanda Billman, Lindsey Dillard and Keri Day, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchldren, plus a special family member: Vickie Barrick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, In 46034. Burial will follow at the Arcadia Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services.  Pastor Jody Brown will officiate.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Cicero American Legion or the Tipton American Legion.  Donation envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
