Carol Sue Bennett, age 78, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away October 14, 2021 at Riverview Health at Noblesville.
She was born July 29, 1943 at Portland, Oregon to Mildred Evelyn (Lowe) Harris. She was a graduate of Wilkenson High School at Wilkenson, IN.
On May 12, 1963 she married Laurel Myron Bennett and she settled into her new role of homemaker. Her family related that she was very creative and mostly self taught. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and tatting. She also formed, fired and painted ceramic items and she made several stained glass items that even included beautiful lamp shades.
Carol was a strong willed lady who called an ace an ace and would stand her ground in supporting her beliefs. She was witty and at times very funny. She also had a heart of gold. She was a volunteer at Hope Clinic in Cicero, IN, donated to several charities, and would help anyone in need. She attended Omega Christian Church.
Surviving her is a daughter: Patricia Lynn Parker of Atlanta, IN, a brother: Dale Paynter of Atlanta, Texas, sister: Melissa Altherr of Pendleton, IN, grandchildren: Ashely Oaks, Adrienne Prince, and Zachary Parker, and five great-grandchildren, honorary grandchild Joshua Green, two honorary great-grandchildren, sister-in-law: Edith Calciano and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother and her husband she was also preceded in death by a brother: Riggie Calciano.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22, 2021 at 12:30 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with burial to follow at Carey Cemetery north of Noblesville, IN. Pastor Neal Brown will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:30 until time of the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
