Charles Buzan Long, age 92, of Cicero, IN passed away November 21, 2021 at Riverwalk Village at Noblesville, IN.

He was born September 3, 1929 to Claude and Pauline (Buzan) Long.  His parents preceded him in death.

He was a country boy, raised in White River Township attending and graduating from Walnut Grove School.  During his high school years Charles with three other students formed a barbershop quartet.  They soon became in demand to entertain at various functions that included singing several times on a midwest radio station.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and upon coming home he returned to farming, a life-long passion.  He also drove a school bus for 40 years for Hamilton Heights School Corporation.  Additionally he was a precinct committeeman and a White River Township Trustee for several years.

Charles was a member of Hinkle Creek Masonic Lodge and the Indianapolis Scottish Rite.  He attended the Atlanta Christian Church.

He married Peggie Joann (Newby) Long on September 26, 1953.  She survives him.  Also surviving him is a daughter: Paula Jane Clark of Elwood, IN, sons: Charles Eugene Long and Lloyd Claude Long, both of Cicero, IN, a sister: Jane Morton of Westfield, IN, grandchildren: Evan Long, Gracie Haberly, Olivia Long, and Caitlyn Gibbons.

A family gathering and services will be held at a later date.  Charles will be buried in the Cicero Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Atlanta Christian Church, P.O. Box 187, 200 East Main Street, Atlanta, IN  46031.  You may send condolences at;
