Christopher Lynn Mayfield, age 36, of Cicero, Indiana passed away October 1, 2023 at his residence.
He was born January 26, 1987 at Noblesville, Indiana. He was raised in Keller, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Keller High School with the Class of 2005.
Christopher had worked for several years as an account manager for Walmart. His family related that he had a kind heart, had a good sense of humor and loved to help others. He was great interacting with kids, dearly loved his family and made sure they were cared for. He always told them personally that he loved them.
He loved working with electronics, customizing his Camaro, target shooting, listening to music, and watching movies. As a young child he began sketching and drawing and continued with this kind of art his entire life.
He is survived by his mother: Dana Marie (Eddie) (Leer) Smith of Tipton, Indiana and father: Tracy Lynn (Beth) Mayfield of Haltom City, Texas, grandmothers: Shirley Townsend and Cindy Leer, brother: Eric Mayfield, sisters: Brittany Meek, Brooke Mayfield, and Emma Smith, Step-sister: Azia Ramirez, Step-brothers: Jamison Mayfield and Payton Ernest, two nieces and one nephew.
Preceding him in death were grandfathers: Ted Townsend and Martin Leer.
Funeral services will be held Friday, October 6, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery. A time of visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until time of the service.
