Darrell Spencer DeFoe, age 57, of Atlanta, IN passed away peacefully at his home on June 3, 2021. He was born February 1, 1964 at Noblesville, IN to Billie S. and Virginia A. (Nelson) DeFoe. His parents preceded him in death.
He graduated from Poughkeepsie High School in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. From a very young age, Darrell loved art, music and nature. He enjoyed being in the great outdoors, especially the mountains.
By trade he was a tool and die maker and had worked at various locations, finishing his career at Machine Concepts, Inc. at Noblesville, IN.
His family related he enjoyed living a simple life and the following favorite song described his outlook on many facets of life, " Oh take your time, don't live too fast. Troubles will come and they will pass. Go find a woman and you'll find love, and don't forget son, there is Someone up above. And be a simple kind of man. Be something you love and understand."
He married Kelly (Huff) DeFoe on May 1, 1992. She survives him. Also surviving are daughters: Ashley Cannon and Leslie (Kyle) Cosand, sons: Kyle Spencer DeFoe and Bryan (Christina) Defoe, grandchildren: Olivia, Lauren, Caitlyn, Cameron and Jack, a sister: Robin Chastain, brothers: James DeFoe and Terry DeFoe, plus ten nieces and nephews.
Darrell's memorial services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Friday, June 11, 2021 at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN, 46034 with Pastor Andrew Marshall officiating. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. prior to the services. Burial will take place at a later date at Powell's Chapel Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, Arkansas.
