David Kent Ehman

David Kent Ehman, age 76 of Kokomo, IN passed away November 1, 2021 with his family at his side.

He was born May 26, 1945 at Elwood, Indiana to Kenneth and Norma Jean (Fakes) Ehman.  He was raised in the Frankton area and graduated from Frankton High School with the Class of 1963.  He then went to Tri State University for three years followed by the Apprentice School of General Motors. He was employed at Guide Lamp in Anderson for over 38 years.

Kent as he was fondly known was an avid sports fan, especially for I.U.  He also had an IHSAA Professional Certification to referee high school ball games.  He refereed high school basketball games for over 20 years and high school football games for over 40 years.  He enjoyed woodworking and loved his family, especially his grandkids.

He is a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church of Kokomo, IN where held many offices including trustee.

He is survived by his mother: Norma Jean Ehman of Anderson, IN, his wife: Deborah Ann (Carr) Ehman, daughter: Jody Diane (Ehman) Wild of Columbus, IN, brothers: Jerry William Ehman of Frankton, IN, sisters: Karla Ann Condon of Alexandria, IN, Jo Jannette Cook of Pendleton, IN, 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, also step-sons: Brian Bixler of Burnettsville, IN, Bradly Bixler of Crawfordsville, IN and a step-daughter: Cari Closson  of Galveston, IN.

Preceding him in death is his first wife: Sandra Sue (Cunningham) Ehman, son: Jon David Ehman, and his father, Kenneth Ehman.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 5, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at East Union Christian Church at the intersection of US 31 and 296th Street, Atlanta, IN 46031 with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating.  Burial will follow at Cicero Cemetery at Cicero, IN.  Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Thursday also at the Church.
