Debra Kay Knight

Debra Kay Knight, age 67, of Fishers, IN passed away January 7, 2022 at I.U. Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

She was born August 5, 1954 at New Castle, IN to Leroy and Betty Frances (Boatman) Jones.  Her young years and schooling were in New Castle and upon becoming a nurses aid she was employed at a New Castle Hospital and later at a local nursing home.  Upon leaving the healthcare profession, Debra founded and ran Knight's Cleaning Business.  Her husband soon joined her in the business.

Debra loved life and she loved people.  She would greet and talk to anyone and soon she collected another friend.  She loved being with her kids, grandkids, her three dogs and visiting with her sisters.  She enjoyed traveling and working outdoors in her yard, especially tending her flower beds.  Her family said she was a hard worker and always went the extra mile.

Surviving her is her beloved husband, Bradly Jay Knight, son: Destry Doddridge of Carmel, IN daughter: Caprella Rowland of Arcadia, IN, sisters: Dottie Lavanchy of Evansville, IN and Ester Jones of Sheridan, IN plus five grandchildren.

Her parents preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel with burial to follow at Cicero Cemetery.  A time of visitation will be from 12:00 noon until time of the services.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society for Hamilton County.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
