Obituary

Earl "Pete" Peterson, age 87, of Arcadia, IN passed away April 22, 2020 at his home.

He was born September 24, 1932 at Hartford, South Dakota to Christopher and Anna Peterson.

After receiving his education, he joined the U.S. Navy and proudly served his country for twenty years.  He then worked as a welder, first working for Churchman Steel and later for Ferguson Steel, both companies located in Indianapolis.

He loved attending auctions and purchased many items that he used to sell from his residence on a State Road.  He was a kind, generous man who often gave away many of the items for sale to anyone who needed them, especially mothers with children.  His family said he was a loving father and grandfather who greatly enjoyed family gatherings.

He married Hildegard (Tinsley) Peterson who preceded him in death.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was also preceded in death by five brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.

Surviving him is a daughter: Sharon Kay (Mundy) Bryant of Cicero, IN, sons: Gary Mundy of Franklin, IN and Tim Risner of Monument, CO. plus nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Due to restrictions placed upon gatherings due to the coronavirus, private family services will be held with burial to follow at Cicero Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.  Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel where you may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
