Ervin Clay Gulley, age 84, of Noblesville, IN passed away February 13, 2020 at his home.
He was born April 27, 1935 at Zionsville, IN to Herschel Bennett and Hazel Marie (Hill) Gulley.
He attended Carmel Schools and graduated with the Class of 1955. From 1955 to 1962 he honorably served his country in the US Army. He then worked for several years at Allison Gas Turbine Company at Indianapolis, IN.
He was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church at Cicero, IN and was a fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus where he had also served on the Council. He was involved in the Cursillo Movement and Marriage Encounter through the Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading and being with his family.
He married Betty Jean (Perkins) Gulley on August 1, 1959. She preceded him in death March 27, 2007. In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his parents, a son: Matthew Gulley, a sister: Charlotte Hill, and brothers: Clayton Gulley and Leon Gulley.
Surviving him are daughters: Anna Marie (Joe) Matthew of Morgantown, IN, Theresa Lynn Kelso of Noblesville, IN, and Kathleen Kay (Chris) Ellington of Carmel, IN, brothers: Norman Gulley of Shelbyville, IN, Herschel Gulley of Peru, IN and Steve Gulley of Rockville, IL, a sister: Mary Siska of Roanoke, Virginia, plus 16 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 410 South Pearl Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with Rev. Dale Ehrman officiating. Burial will occur at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery, west of Noblesville, IN on SR 32. Visitation will be from 9:00 A.M. until time of the services at 11:00 A.M. also at the Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association, 7202 East 87th Street, Suite 102, Indianapolis, IN 46256.
