Gay Lynn Shepard

Gay Lynn Shepard, age 68, of Cicero, Indiana passed away May 18, 2022 at her home.

She was born October 15, 1953 at Noblesville, Indiana to Dale and Shirley Ann (Waugh) Hinshaw.  She attended Jackson Township Schools and graduated from Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1973.

Gay Lynn had worked for over 43 years as a nurse's aide, with 34 of those years she was working at Arcadia Developmental Center in Arcadia, IN.  The Center was a facility for children with disabilities and was well known for providing excellent care.  Gay Lynn loved caring for the children and was distraught with them being moved elsewhere.

She was a very sweet, caring person.  She enjoyed visiting with her friends and helping family members.  As a young girl she often stayed with her grandmother, Nellie Hinshaw.  In later years she often helped her as she aged.  Gay Lynn was always busy, keeping a perfectly groomed yard and immaculate home.

She is survived by her mother, Shirley Ann Hinshaw of Cicero, IN, a son, Shon Aaron Shepard of Atlanta, IN, brothers: Dale Ross Hinshaw of Ft. Wayne, IN, Bruce Hinshaw of Arcadia, IN, sisters: Marie Norton of Fishers, IN and Karla McEntrie of Cicero, IN, plus grandchildren: Sophia Ilanah Shepard and Nigel Cain.

Preceding her in death is an infant son: Ryan Lee Hinshaw, a step-son: Scott Alan Shepard, father: Dale Hinshaw, and her grandparents that included grandma Nellie.
