Gene Kennett

Gene Kennett, age 83, of Cicero, IN passed away February 7, 2020 at Riverview Hospital at Noblesville, IN.

He was born June 28, 1936 at Noblesville, IN to Harvey and Olive (Chance) Kennett.

He was a graduate of Jackson Central High School with the Class of 1955.  He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.  After  completing his service to our country, he worked for many years at Delco Remy at Anderson, IN. 

Gene was a member of Victory Chapel Community Church, Noblesville Masonic Lodge, and the Cicero American Legion.  He enjoyed going to flea markets, fishing and family gatherings. 

He was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts and had coached elementary football teams.

He married Phyllis Ann (Miller) Kennett on June 30, 1957.  She survives him.  Additional survivors include a daughter: Lou Ann (Dale) Munden of Arcadia, IN, sons: Mark Kennett of Arcadia, IN and Don (Jill) Kennett of Grove City, Ohio, grandchildren: John (Ashley) Munden, Jesse (Whitney) Munden, Jordan Munden, Devin Kennett, Chelsey Kennett, Amber (Alex) Valentine, and David Kennett, plus great-grandchildren: Bristol, Gentry and Evelynn Munden and Sophia Kennett.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034, with Military rites immediately following.  Burial will then take place at Arcadia Cemetery.  Pastor Andy Marshall will be officiating.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. with Masonic rites to follow.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
