Jean Ann Foster, age 81, of Carmel, IN passed away May 8, 2020 with her family at her side. She was born March 15, 1939 at Arcadia, IN to Elbert Virgil and Sarah Margaret (Leaming) Etchison.
She attended Cicero Elementary and Jackson Central High School graduating with the Class of 1957. She enjoyed the friendships she made during her school years and she was instrumental in helping organize Class of 57 reunions and casual gatherings.
Jean Ann was a member of Venture Christian Church at Carmel. She was the true definition of a servant to her friends, her church, her children, and as 'Grams' to her 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She devoted years to the children's ministry at church, served the Carmel Clay Schools in a myriad of ways and loved her time spent with the St. Margaret's Guild. She was perhaps best known for meeting you 'right where you were' and spending as much time as she could to love each person in her life individually.
She married Donald Edward Foster on July 2, 1961. He survives her. Also surviving is a daughter: Susan (David) Sharp of Malvern, PA, a son: Andy (Michelle) Foster of Noblesville, IN, grandchildren: Lainey (Ryan) Timmermon, Sophia Sharp, Anna (Caleb) Rogers, Caroline Sharp, Margo Foster and Alex Foster, plus 3 great-grandchildren.
