John Nicholas Allen Binkley, Jr. also known as Buck, passed away May 17, 2023 at his home near Cicero, Indiana with his family at this side. He was born July 4, 1945 to John Nicholas Allen & Emma Lee (Rigsby) Binkley at Lebanon, Tennessee.
Buck went to work at a young age at the Lebanon Handle Company in his home town. He ran a lathe making handles for all kinds of tools such as hammers, screw drivers, saws, etc. After working there for almost twenty years, he headed north to central Indiana and settled in Tipton, Indiana.
Changing an indoor job for an outdoor one, he became a groundskeeper for almost forty years.
Buck was an animal lover and enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. He also liked to watch the old western movies where the strong and the good guys always won. He liked to fish and he liked to garden. Often in late summer you would see five gallon buckets in front of his home sharing the vegetables he had produced with his neighbors.
He married Mary Catherine (Moss) Brinkley who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and his parents, he was also preceded in death by the following siblings: Clara, Ben, George Allen, Kathryn, Hazel, Billy and Frances.
