Linda Darlene Engle

September 14, 1950 ~ December 12, 2020 (age 70)


Linda Darlene Engle, age 70, of Noblesville, IN passed away December 12, 2020 at her home.

She was born September 14, 1950 at Seymour, IN to William Lee and Phyllis Anne (Durham) McCoy.  Her parents preceded her in death.

She was a graduate of Sheridan High School with the Class of 1968.  She became employed at Gas America IN Cicero, IN and soon became the manager.  She was well known and loved by those who patronized the business as well as her many friends.  She was very active in the Cicero Women's Auxiliary and assisted with charity events and auctions to help their cause. She was very giving over the years she managed Gas America and touched many lives.

Leisure time would find Linda going to casinos, traveling, making jewelry, watching Dr. Phil and her soaps, and playing bingo.  Most of all she loved being with her family, especially spending time her kids and grandkids.

Linda married Terry Lee Engle on December 31, 1973.  He survives her.

Also surviving her is a daughter: Amy Bianchi of Noblesville, IN, sons: Eric (April) Engle of Sheridan, IN and Anthony Whitmer of California, a sister: Teresa McCoy of Cicero, IN, brothers: Eddie (Karen) Doty, and Jimmy Doty, and grandchildren:John Doty, Amber (Anthony) Destefano, Race Whitmer and Corbin Engle, plus her grand-dog: Bear.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a celebration of Life will be planned for the Spring of 2021.  Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero, Chapel and where you may send condolences at  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
