Mark Walter Harvey

Mark Walter Harvey, 65, passed away on January 1, 2022. He was born in Indianapolis and resided with his brother in Cicero, IN.

He graduated from Ben Davis High School and went on to become a dispatcher at Citizens Gas, where he dedicated 40 years until his retirement in 2017.

He was the son of the late Ralph C. and E. Aileen (Groseclose) Harvey.

He is survived by his children, Monica J. (Kyle) Boone and Matthew W. Harvey, his brother, Carl A. Harvey, Sr., and several nieces, nephews. Mark was overjoyed when he learned he was to be a grandpa with the arrival of his first grandson in March.

He enjoyed watching the Center Grove football team play, reading Tom Clancy novels, collecting all genres of movies, and making anyone he talked to laugh. He enjoyed sweet treats whether that was Chex Mix around the holidays or ice cream after playing basketball in the backyard.

Viewing will be Friday, January 7 from noon - 1:30 p.m. at Bluff Creek Christian Church, Building A, with a celebration of life from 1:30-2 p.m. and the graveside service to immediately follow at Bluff Creek Cemetery. The church address is: 6286 West State Road 144, Greenwood, IN 46143.
