Mary June McGuffey

Mary June McGuffey, age 86, of Cicero, IN passed away August 16, 2020 at Riverwalk Village in Noblesville, IN.  She was born June 23, 1934 at Noblesville, IN to George Edward and Josephine Lucille (Giger) Wiles. 

On December 22, 1951 she married James Meredith McGuffey and she became a wife and homemaker, a role she greatly enjoyed. She also had worked at Aero Drapery Company at Jolietville and in food service at the Employment Security Building along with her mother.  Upon becoming Christians, her husband worked days and studied at night for the ministry. When he became Rev. McGuffey, she became a minister's wife and settled into that role also.  Together they served in various congregations in the midwest.

She was a member of the Noblesville Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband who passed away May 10, 2016.

Surviving her are sons: Coleman McGufffey of Cicero, IN, Kevin McGuffey of Noblesville, IN, daughters: Camille Thompson of Cicero, IN and Gail Wiles Newby of Westfield, IN, a brother: George Edward Wiles of Noblesville, IN, 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with burial to follow at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville, IN.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until time of the services  While attending the services, please wear a mask and observe distancing..  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
