Mary Elaine Montgomery

Mary Elaine Montgomery, age 77, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away July 16, 2022 at Copper Trace in Westfield, Indiana.

She was born May 14, 1945 at Detroit, Michigan to George and Mae Agnes ( Ballenger) Murphy.  Mary attended Noblesville Schools and graduated from Noblesville High School with the Class of 1964.  She then went to a cosmetology school and became a self employed beautician.  This enabled her to have her beauty shop in her home and also be with her family.  She also became known for her baking skills, especially her cakes that she iced and decorated for special occasions.

Mary was a good singer and sang Karaoke at several venues winning many contests.  She also liked to dance, play bingo and go shopping.  She loved the color pink and anything shiny and sparkly.  Her family said she would even purchase a bucket if it had "bling'.

She was a member of the Church of God, Women of the Moose, and the American Legion, all in Noblesville, IN.

Surviving her are sons: Jimmy Purser of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Jason (Tiffany) Coffman of Noblesville, IN, daughters: Jill Partain of Anderson, IN and Jan (Phillip) Grant of Anderson, IN, grandchildren: Brandi, Brianna, Jerrod, Zack, Nikki, Brady, Alex, Eli, and Liam, plus five great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandchildren: Alisha and Christopher, brother: Richard Murphy and daughter-in-law: Carrie Purser.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with a time of visitation from 9:00 A.M. until time of the services.  A private burial will occur at Crownland Cemetery at  Noblesville.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
