Mary Louise Petruzelli-Gal

Mary Louise Petruzelli-Gal, age 83, of Carmel, Indiana passed away March 10, 2023 at Hooverwood Living in Indianapolis, Indiana.  She was born September 2, 1939 at Gary, Indiana to James Patrick and Lillian Bernice (Moore) Muldoon.

Her young years were lived in Gary, Indiana with her parents.  She attended Gary schools and graduated from Edison High School in East Gary, Indiana with the Class of 1957.

She had worked as a bookkeeper for various companies.

She married Lawrence N. Petruzelli, and they were blessed with a son and a daughter. Unfortunately he passed away at an early age due to an accident.

Mary was an active member of the Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church where she served as a greeter and also enjoyed working at the Church's thrift retail store.  She loved to read, study the Bible and share her faith with others.

Mary loved her family and friends and always wanted to host a gathering.  She made sure everyone felt welcome. Her family described her as the sweetest, kindest, caring person and was always there to help them.  She took pride in the smallest items and made everything special!  She encouraged her family to dream and work to achieve their dreams.

She married Alexander Dennis Gal on February 21, 1998.  He preceded her in death January 31, 2022.  In addition to her husband she was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother; William Lee Muldoon.

Surviving her is a son: Mark Anthony Petruzelli of Peach Tree, Georgia, daughter: Deanna Louise Petruzelli of Carmel, Indiana, sister Patti Roman of Ocala, Florida, and brother: James E. Muldoon of Ormond Beach, Florida, plus five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 P.M. March 20, 2023 at Cicero Seventh Day Adventist Church, 24445 State Road 19, Cicero, IN 46034, with visitation from 4:00 P.M. until time of the services.  Burial will take place at a later date at Marion National Cemetery.  Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel is entrusted with Mrs. Petruzelli-Gal's services and where you may send condolences at www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
