Obituary

Mary Elizabeth Strickland, age 69, of Hamilton County, Indiana passed away October 9, 2021 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus in Noblesville, IN.

She was born October 3, 1952 at Covington, Kentucky to Sterling David and Gloria Jean (Burns) Reed.  She attended Jackson Township Schools and graduated from Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1971.  She worked various jobs before marrying the love of her life, Charles Leon Strickland, Sr. on December 28, 1982.  She found that she enjoyed her new role as wife and homemaker.

Mary loved the Lord and was an active member and worshiper at the Arcadia Church of the Brethren until she was physically unable to attend the services.

Surviving her is her mother: Gloria Jean Reed of Arcadia, IN, sons: Charles David Strickland of Greenwood, IN, and Jeffrey Wayne Fields of Indianapolis, IN, step-son: Charles Leon Strickland, Jr. of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, a brother: Michael James Reed of Cicero, IN, sisters: Frances Rebecca Jones of Tipton, IN, Vickie Sue Moore of Arcadia, IN, Charlotte Jean Edwards of Frankton, IN and Kimberly Ann Null of Atlanta, IN, grandchildren: Ian Strickland, Logan Strickland and Lexi Burchett, step-grandchildren: Charlie Strickland and Amanda Strickland plus several great-grandchildren.
