Mary Carleen Wethington

Mary Carleen Wethington, age 94, of Carmel, IN passed away October 16, 2020 at Maple Park Village in Westfield, IN.

She was born July 1, 1926 At Cub Run, Kentucky to William Howard and Stella Blain (Jaggers) Thompson.

Mary was a homemaker who enjoyed being with her family.  Leisure time would find her working crossword puzzles, watching football games and going to garage sales.  Her family said she was an astute checkers player and although many have tried, no one had ever beat her.  In later years she enjoyed trips to Wal Mart.

She is survived by sons: Robert B. Layton and Anthony L. Layton, daughters: Sue Ann Beutke and Kerrie Lynn Price, fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchidren.

Preceding her in death is a daughter: Linda Carol Layton, sisters: Clara, Ada, Lois, Nina, Edna and Dana, brothers: Arnold, Stanley, and Bruce, and her parents.

Arrangements are entrusted to Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, where you may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.  A private burial will occur at Cicero Cemetery.  A celebration of life may be held at a later date.
