Mary Lou Waltz, age 81, of Cicero, IN passed away peacefully on December 12, 2019 with her family at her side.  She was born April 17, 1938 at Noblesville, IN to Floyd and Mildred (Stehman) Overdorf.

She attended Walnut Grove School and graduated with the Class of 1956.  She then furthered her education at Central Business College at Indianapolis, IN.  She had first worked as the librarian for Arcadia Elementary School, she then worked at Cowan Hardware in Cicero, IN, and lastly she was an insurance agent at Cowan Insurance Agency at Cicero, IN.

Mary Lou was a life-long member of Bethel Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir, was a director of the children's choir, and served as a youth leader for several years.

At times they were acknowledged publicly during one of the Glee Club's shows.

She married the love of her life, James Luther Waltz on December 7th, 1958 and they enjoyed family life together with their children and grandchildren. Loving music and traveling, a highlight in their lives was traveling to Estonia to sing in a large music festival that was held there.  They also were social directors for Beck's Superior Hybrids and hosted trips for Beck's for several years.

Surviving Mary Lou are two children: Marisa Waltz Goldberg of Chicago, IL and Craig Evan (Delores) Waltz of Cicero, IN, grandchildren: Kaylie (Alex) Prichodko, Lindsey (Jake) Daghe and Emma Goldberg.
