Norma Irene Land

Norma Irene Land, age 95, of Cicero, IN passed away March 1, 2021 at Majestic Care of Sheridan, IN.

She was born December 20, 1925  near Kirklin, IN to Cloyd and Elsie Lavonne (Baker) Myers.  She graduated from Sheridan High School with the Class of 1943.

Norma had worked for many years at Western Electric in Indianapolis assembling telephones.  Her specialty was the Princess Phone.  Leisure time would find her crocheting, cooking and baking.  She also loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Norma was an avid fan of the Indiana Pacers and the Chicago Cubs and rarely missed watching or listening to a game.

Surviving her is a son: Christopher A. Land of Fairmount, IN, daughters: Carla S. Bannston of Goldsmith, IN, and Beverly J. Wigley of Cicero, IN, Sisters: Martha Griffin of Noblesville, IN and Dorotha Pickett of Sheridan, IN, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son: Douglas Land, great-grandchild: Skyler Simpson, and brothers: John Myers and Donald Myers.

She was a member of Christian Liberty Church, 5999 U,S. 421, Sheridan, IN 46069 where you may send memorial contributions in Norma's memory.
