Phillip Richard Lantz

Phillip Richard Lantz, age 81, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away March 27, 2023 at I.U. Tipton Hospital at Tipton, Indiana.

He was born April 18, 1941 at Beech Grove, Indiana to Henry and Juanita (Hutton) Lantz.  He grew up in the Beech Grove area and graduated from Scecina High School with the Class of 1959.  He then furthered his education at the University of Indianapolis.  Phillip also honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

Phillip was a computer programmer and had worked in several Veterans Hospitals that included Arlington, Texas, Indianapolis and Marion, Indiana, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

Leisure time would find him gardening, reading, bird watching, and watching I.U. Basketball games.  During his young years he was a Boy Scout and had earned Eagle Scout status.  He later became a Boy Scout leader.

He married Janet Suzanne (Rudolph) Kanuer December 26, 1987 who survives him.  Also surviving is a daughter: Kimberly Lantz of Ft. Wayne, IN, step-daughters: Cindy (Chris) Girtman of Sheridan, IN, and Diana Knauer of Nashville, IN, 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son: Joseph Lantz.

A time of visitation from 4:00 to 5:00 P.M. with memorial services to follow will take place April 17, 2023 at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034.  Burial will occur at Arcadia Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 50 East 91st Street, Indianapolis, IN  46209-4830.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfunerlhomes.com.
