Rosemary Curnutt, 91, of Arcadia, passed away on Saturday January 14th, 2023, at Indiana University Health in Tipton after a brief illness.
She was born on May 23, 1931, in Stinesville, Indiana to Floyd and Mable (West) Farr.
She graduated from Fishers High School in 1949. Rosemary wed Jay Curnutt on February 15th, 1952 and they were married for 71 years.
In addition to being a beloved mother of three children, Rosemary worked as a bank teller for Hamilton County Bank for 20 years. After her years as bank teller, she worked for Cicero Chamber of Commerce until she retired and spent her time being a grandma.
Rosemary was an avid IU Basketball fan and would never miss a game. She was known for her famous red cake she made for special occasions and at Christmas time.
Rosemary is survived by her husband, Jay Curnutt; two sons, Stephen (Teri) Curnutt of Arcadia and Phil (Teri) Curnutt of Arcadia; a daughter, Jan (Mark) Pickett of Arcadia; sisters Glenna Rice and Doris (Dave) Russell; four grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica) Curnutt, Trisha (David) Booth, Janae (Dustin) Mobley, and Zachary Pickett; eight great-grandchildren, Brayden Curnutt, Logan Curnutt, Cadynce Curnutt, Baylee Curnutt, Macy Booth, Eli Booth, Noah Booth and Taytem Mobley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Farr and Mable (West) Farr; brothers Dallas (Doris) Farr, and Floyd (Dottie) Farr, Jr.; and brother in law Ralph Rice.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 19th, at 2:00 p.m. at Hartley Funeral Home, 209 W Jackson St, Cicero, Indiana with Pastor Mark Knapp officiating. Burial will follow at Arcadia Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 19th, at the funeral home.
