Roy Dallas Barrett, Jr., age 70, of Arcadia, IN and Anderson, IN, passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Community Hospital at Anderson, IN.
He was born December 8, 1949 at Noblesville, IN to Roy Dallas Barrett Sr. and Juanita Jean (DeVol) Barrett. His parents and his brother, Cecil Barrett preceded him in death.
Growing up in Arcadia, he attended Arcadia schools and graduated from Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1968. He then honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force. His service specialty was jet engine mechanic.
Roy was a member of the Arcadia Christian Church, Cicero American Legion, Cicero VFW where he had served as post commander and 6th District commander, and Cicero Masonic Lodge where he had served as a past master. For several years Roy had been a Boy Scout Leader.
He enjoyed camping and fishing, but his passion was helping others who had served their country in the military.
He married Marcia Kay (Sunderman) Barrett on February 20, 1972. She survives him. Additional survivors include a son: Michael Edward Barrett of Anderson, IN, a daughter: Angelia J'mae (Rick) Hubble of Kokomo, IN and a granddaughter: OSSN Brianna Hubble who is currently deployed, serving her country in the U.S. Navy.
Private services will be held for his family. Graveside rites will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 at 1:30 P.M. at Cicero Cemetery.
