Steven Frank Sowers

Steven Frank Sowers, age 81, of Noblesville, Indiana passed away April 14, 2023 at his home.

He was born February 12, 1942 at Noblesville, Indiana to Howard and Ruthella (Bowman) Sowers.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Jo Lynn (McKinley) Sowers.

Steve and Jo Lynn began upholstering furniture for family and friends that morphed into Sowers Upholstery Shop.   Their locations were on Main Street in Arcadia, IN and west of Cicero, Indiana.  Due to an illness, Jo Lynn could no longer work in their shop, so they decided to close it.  Steve then worked for a few years as Warehouse Manager at Noblesville Schools.

Steve also liked to restore old cars, then drive them for a while before selling them.  He also liked to attend car shows and watch NASCAR races.  And he loved to watch college football, game shows and work on crossword puzzles.

Surviving him is a daughter: Sara Rasmussen of North Carolina, sons: Jack Coonce of Coatesville, PA. and Scott Coonce of Arizona, step-daughters: Donna Craig of Anderson, IN, Dianna Miller of Marion, IN and Debra Thatcher of Noblesville, IN plus several grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will occur on April 28, 2023 from noon until 4:00 P. M. at Red Bridge Park Community Building, at Cicero, Indiana.  Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery.
