June 19, 1962 - December 14, 2020

Tess Henson, beloved wife, daughter-in-law, friend and resident of Indianapolis, died unexpectedly on December 14, 2020 at the age of 58 after suffering a stroke the previous day.

Survivors include her husband, Tom Henson Jr., her parents-in-law, Tom Sr. & Bonnie Henson, her brothers-and-sisters-in-law (Ben, Josh, Karen, Tanya, Brett, Jimmy, Connie, Caiti, Christine, Jamie, Shonda, Shavonne, Olivia), her cats (Eddie, Baboo, Poe, Button), and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends she considered family.

Tess went to public schools in Attica and graduated from Attica High School then attended college in Terre Haute, IN.

As an adult Tess worked in various office, clerical and marketing research jobs. For a time she also sang in a band called Direwolf in local Indianapolis clubs. She married her husband July 4, 1997 after meeting him the previous year at InConJunction, a local sci-fi/fantasy convention. Not long after their marriage, Tess settled down to become a full time housewife.

Tess loved music, being an aspiring musician, and was particularly passionate about the music of Stevie Nicks. She was also a film buff, having a near encyclopedic knowledge of horror movies. She also enjoyed fantasy, sci-fi, and Asian movies. She was deeply devoted to her friends, whom she considered to be the family she never had while growing up, and loved her husband fiercely. Tess will be deeply and painfully missed by all who knew her.

Due to COVID-19, the service will be limited to family and close friends by invitation only. The service will be streamed via Facebook Live on her husband’s Facebook page at 3:00pm on Saturday December 19, 2020.
