Obituary

Tracee Dawn Coy was an extraordinary wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She left this world on Thursday, August 17th, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 53.

Tracee was born on June 2, 1970, in Noblesville, Indiana. She was a 1988 graduate from Noblesville High School. Tracee married the love of her life, Ted Coy, on July 10, 1993, and they have two beautiful daughters, Taylor and Caitlin.

“Ms. Tracee” as she was affectionately known by the many sweet children she poured into through her two decades long in-home daycare, was truly gifted with little ones. One dear friend said, “Tracee was born to nurture” and that could not be a more accurate description of the kind and loving person she was.

She enjoyed traveling and taking annual cruises to many beautiful tropical places. She also liked to exercise and was highly committed to getting her steps in. She was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. She and her husband, Ted, enjoyed gardening and canning each year.

Tracee was a member of White River Christian Church, where she served in the children’s ministry. She was also a proud member of Delta Theta Tau, a national philanthropic sorority.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 30 years, Ted, their two daughters Taylor (Will) McDonnell and Caitlin Coy and fiancé Shaun Tobin, father Don (Donna) Guilkey, mother Tamara Guilkey, mother-in-law, Karla Jordan, father-in-law, Gary (Diane) Coy, sister Susan (Micah) Beckwith and nephew and niece Savannah and Brody Beckwith and brother-in-law John (Nicole) Coy and nieces, Megan Coy and Elizabeth (Quenten) Bailey. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Rosalyn and David Roudebush and Alyce Jane (A.J.) and Roy Guilkey.

Family, friends and others whose lives Tracee touched are invited to her services at White River Christian Church (main campus), 1685 N. 10th Street, Noblesville, on Thursday, August 24. Visitation is scheduled from 4-7 pm and the funeral will be held at 7 pm by Pastor Mark Sullivan. Private burial family only. Arrangements are entrusted with Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel where you may send condolences at their website, http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
