Visvaldis Janis Zarins

Visvaldis Janis Zarins, age 79, of Arcadia, IN passed away October 29, 2021 with his wife by his side.

He was born July 11, 1942 in Liepaja, Latvia to Karlis and Zigrida (Ingersons) Zarins.

He attended Marion County Schools and graduated from Shortridge High School with the Class of 1960.  He was a member of the Evangelical Latvian Lutheran Church in Indianapolis, IN.  He had worked for over 30 years as an over the road semi truck driver for UPS.

He met the love of his life, Bonita Lynne (Blasser) Zarins in high school and they later were married.  Eventually they established their home near her family in the country.

He is survived by his wife and his sisters: Laimo Lelieuvre and Julia Wiggington both of Phoenix, Arizona.

His parents and a sister: Inta Abele preceded him in death.

A private family gathering and funeral services were held Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Hartley Funeral Homes Cicero Chapel, 209 West Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034 with burial following at Crownland Cemetery at Noblesville, IN.  Rev. Robert Stubbs officiated and his wife and other family members gave eulogies.
