William Joe Brown

William Joe Brown, age 68, of Sheridan, Indiana passed away May 18, 2022 at his home.

He was born June 14, 1953 in Tipton, Indiana to Omer and Joanna Mae (Powell) Brown.  He attended Jackson Township schools and graduated from Hamilton Heights High School with the Class of 1972.  He then furthered his education at I.U. Kokomo earning an Associates Degree in Skilled Trades.

He became employed at Chrysler Corporation at Kokomo, Indiana where he worked for over 38 years.

He married Rebecca Dee (Chattin) Brown April 17, 2000 and together they enjoyed country living.  They loved traveling their country roads in their golf cart, watching the farmers as they worked in their fields around them, and enjoying the peace of a nearby wooded area.  William also enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing and taking care of his yard.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a daughter: Erika Matsunaga of Hendersonvile, TN, brothers: Jerry L. Brown of Cicero, IN and Gary L. (Kathleen) Brown of Cicero, IN, sisters: Linda (Tom) Castor of Cape Coral , FL, Gloria (Dave) Beck of Brownsburg, IN, and grandchildren: Logan Matsunaga and Taylor Shanks.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother: Terry W. Brown.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 12:00 Noon at Cicero United Methodist Church, 100 East Jackson Street, Cicero, IN 46034, with Pastor Neal Brown officiating.  Burial will be at Cicero Cemetery.  A Time of visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of the services.  Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel is entrusted with Mr. Brown's care.  You may send condolences at http://www.hartleyfuneralhomes.com.
